    Code:
    1) Router C will use ICMP to inform Host 1 that Host 2 cannot be reached.
    2) Router C will send a Destination Unreachable message type.
    2) Which protocol uses both TCP and UDP ports?
    Code:
DNS uses both TCP and UDP ports
    3) Which protocol should be used to establish a secure terminal connection to a remote network device?
    Code:
    SSH
    4) When two hosts are trying to communicate , how does the host originating the communication determine the hardware address of the remote host?
    Code:
    ARP request
    5) Data transfer is slow between the source and destination. The Quality of Service requested by the transport layer in the OSI reference model is not being maintained. To fix this issue, at which layer should the troubleshooting
    process begin?
    Code:
    At the network Layer
    6) When a frame leaves a Layer 3 device, the Layer 2 encapsulation information is changed from what it was when it entered the device. For what two reasons can this happen?
    Code:
    1) The WAN encapsulation type has changed.
    2) The source and destination MAC addresses have changed.
    7) How can an IP address conflict in DHCP be fixed?
    Code:
If an address conflict is detected, the address removed from the pool for an amount of time configurable by the administrator.
    8) Host A pings Host B. What source MAC address and source IP address are contained in the frame as the frame leaves R2 destined for host B?

    9) A network administrator is establishing an FTP connection to a remote server. What is the highest layer the network administrator is using for this operation ?
    Code:
    Application Layer
    10) Acknowledgement, Sequencing, and Flow control can be done at which OSI layer?
    Code:
    Layer 4
    11) Host A is communicating with the server. What will be the destination MAC address of the frames sent by Host A to the server?

    12) Which layer of the OSI model uses flow control, sequencing, and acknowledgements?
    Code:
    Transport (Layer 4)
    13) What correctly describe steps in the OSI data encapsulation process?
    Code:
    1) The transport layer divides a data stream into segments and may add reliability and flow control information.
    2) Packets are created when the network layer adds Layer 3 addresses and control information to a segment.
    14) Which rule does the DHCP server use when there is an IP address conflict?

    Code:
The address is removed from the pool until the conflict is resolved.
    15) At which OSI layer is a logical path created between two hosts?
    Code:
    network layer
    16) What are the properties of the extended ping command?
    Code:
    1) With the extended ping command you can specify the timeout value,
    2) The extended ping command is available from privileged EXEC mode,
    17) The switch in the graphic has a default configuration and the MAC table is fully populated. In addition this network is operating properly. The graphic represents selected header information in a frame leaving host A What can be concluded from this information?

    Code:
All devices in this LAN except host A will pass the packet to Layer 3.
    18) A host is about to send data to another host on a different network. Where would the Host send the data frames to?
    Code:
Send the data frames to the default gateway.

Since the Remote host is not on the same subnet[network]

    19) Host A needs to send data to Host B. Which Layer 2 and Layer 3 destination addresses will be used?

    Code:
    IP Address :192.168.60.5
    MAC Address: 0007.0e56.ab2e

Because Host A will look at the Destination IP Address and it will realize that it is on a remote network so it will send it to the Router , so Host A will send the packet to Router1 Mac's Address but the Destination IP Address will never change.
    20) What does DNS servers provide?
    Code:
They convert domain names into IP address

For example when you type google.com into your web browser the DNS is responsible for converting that domain name into an IP Address since everything is an IP address in the inter networking world
    21) What is the purpose using the traceroute command?
    Code:
To see the path a packet will take when traveling to a specified destination.
    22) Which protocol or technology would be used in the communication between host 1 and host 2 over the point—to—point WAN?

    Code:
Fa0/0 interface of R1 will receive the broadcast,
    24) Which command would be used to know every hop the packets take when he accesses google.com?
    Code:
    traceroute google.com
    25) What kind of protocols are associated with the application layer of the OSI model? (Write two.)
    Code:
    1) Telnet
    2) FTP

Since FTP and Telnet are used from the Operating System and that's a Layer 7
    26) Which layer of the OSI reference model uses the hardware address of a device?
    Code:
    data link layer
    27) What are two characteristics of Telnet?
    Code:
    1) It sends data in clear text format.
    2) It requires that the destination device be configured to support Telnet connections.

As it sends the Data in a clear plain text then it is not secure , SSH is more secure as data are sent in a hashed format which is not clear for anyone to see or sniff.
    28) An administrator pings the default gateway at 10.10.10.1 and sees the output as shown. At which OSI layer is the problem?

    29) Which network protocol does DNS use?
    Code:
    UDP & TCP

But in case of multiple choice and it gave you both protocols use the UDP
Well actually DNS uses both TCP and UDP , i am not sure exactly why It gave both Answers , but the answer provided by Cisco is UDP
    30) Which layer in the OSI reference model is responsible for determining the availability of the receiving program and checking to see if enough resources exist for that communication?
    Code:
    application layer
    31) An access list has been configured on a serial interface to deny packet entry for TCP and UDP ports 21, 23 and 25. What types of packets will be permitted by this ACL? (Write three.]
    Code:
    DNS
    HTTP
    POP3

    Since Port 21 = FTP , Port 23 = TCP and Port 25 = SMTP
    32) Which two tasks does the DHCP perform? (Write two)
    Code:
    1) Configure IP address parameters from DHCP server to a host.
    2) Assign and renew IP address from the default pool.
    33) An administrator issues the command ping 127.0.0.1 from the command line prompt on a PC. If a reply is received, what does this confirm?
    Code:
The PC has the TCP/IP protocol stack correctly installed.

Since 127.0.0.1 means your machine , so if pinging your own machine works then the TCP/IP protocol stack correctly installed and Layer 2 and 3 are working.
    34) Write three types of the flow control?
    Code:
    1) buffering
    2) windowing
    3) congestion avoidance
    35) How dose a DHCP server dynamically assign IP address to host?
    Code:
Addresses are leased to host. A host will usually keep the same address by periodically contacting the DHCP sever to renew the lease.
    36) Which destination addresses will Host A use to send data to Host B?

    1) the IP address of HostB
    2) the MAC address of Router1 Fa0/0
