    MYSQLDUMP [no password promot]

    I`d like to perform a MYSQLDUMP without being promoted a password.
    Actually i am doing a cron job everyday to take a backup of my database.
    How could i achieve that ?

    You can add a file in your home directory and it will disable the mysqldump password prompting , you must to creat the file ~/.my.cnf (permissions need to be 600).
    Just add these commands in the file :
    Code:
    [mysqldump]
    user=mysqluser
    password=secret
    Or alternatively, use the following command:
    Code:
    mysqldump –u[user name] –p[password] [database name] > [dump file]
