    Windows older than Windows 2000 has no support for Unicode. We will need to install the package to support Unicode under, WIN95/98.

    Above Windows 2000, all the API supports Unicode and ANSI.

    All the ANSI style API that have the string as an argument internally uses UNICODE style APIs.

    ANSI style APIs have to convert the string to UNICODE and then convert back the result from UNICODE to ANSI.

    So, using UNICODE style APIs in code is faster than ANSI style.
