Can I use PostMessage to send a WM_QUIT message?

Can I use PostMessage to send a WM_QUIT message?

I read some where that I should use PostQuitMessage.

So why should I not use PostMessage?

PostQuitMessage just sends message to the current thread that it needs to be quit the message queue in near future.

Normally you do this when you receive WM_DESTROY message.

    Below is from MSDN:

"The WM_QUIT message is not associated with a window and therefore will never be received through a window's window procedure."

    I hope this helps.
